SAGA

July 1st

Bandshell 8:30 P.M.

Album number 17 for Saga, Trust, shows the band is still very much capable of producing melodic rock that is full of great playing and substance. As evidenced by the band's reintroduction of progressive elements, Trust results in a body of work that can stand beside their classic albums, Words Apart and Images At Twilight.
On Trust, the band exploits its bombastic melodic rock sound to the fullest, producing future fan-favorites like "On the Other Side" and "That's As Far As I'll Go." Elsewhere, "We Were Right" is an arena-ready rocker, complete with a big, booming chorus, while "My Friend" is a soft and reflective ballad that shows another dynamic side of the band.
After 30 years and millions of albums sold worldwide, Saga remains a household name in the progressive rock community. Trust will only serve to further the band's career, one that has seen the band play in front of a combined audience of almost 15 million fans. Although their career was jumpstarted and propelled by its hits from the early 80's, Saga longevity speaks for itself, thus making them one of the most important progressive rock acts to emerge from the Great White North.
